SARAH ANN (BOYLE) ANDREWS

Sarah Andrews

VERMONT — During the past ten days Vermont has been a house of mourning. Death has got in his work robbing the town of a number of the old citizens and early pioneers. The first to pass over the river was Grandma Andrews relict of Robert Andrews. Her maiden name was Sarah Boles. She was born in Fleming county, Kentucky, in 1815 and came to his county in 1836. Two years later she was united in marriage to Robert Andrews. For more than half a century they lived on the farm west of town where she died. She was a member of the Christian church which she joined when only 14 years old. She was connected with many of the families in this place and in her death the town has lost a well respected citizen and every one a true friend. Funeral services were held in the Christian church, Rev. Ross conducting the last sad rite for the departed.

[Laura's note: Other records online suggest that her maiden name was actually Boyle, not Boles, so that is how I have indexed her name for now.]
