Both of the web presses in the second pressroom are mainly used to print book sections that will later be bound in bindery. This area houses two (2) of our four (4) web presses. Books with a finished size near 8 1/2" x 11" are printed as 8, 16, 24, or 32 page sections depending on run length and paper used. |

Using our standard 35" rolls of paper our press folds the "web" down to 8 3/4" x 11 3/8" sections. We stock other roll sizes as well, which fold down to other section sizes. We also have a technique to economically produce 5 1/8" x 8 1/4" perfect bound books in small quantities. |

Uncoated paper, especially newsprint, changes shape as it is printed on and as it travels through the press. We use splicers, infeeds, and other special attachments to control the paper and maintain the quality we are known for. |

A ribbon-deck mounted on the folder of this web press can be used to produce square tabloids (11 2/3" x 11 3/8") or "slimjim" letter size catalogs (bound size of 5 1/2" x 11"). It will also produce products with multiple page widths (ribbons). |
