Two (2) of our four (4) web presses are housed in the first pressroom. Much of our newspaper printing takes place here. Web printing on a type of paper known as Newsprint is the most economical form of printing in existence. We routinely print newspaper products in quantities as low as 200 copies. Black ink is most commonly used, but we can also add spot colors (PMS or a "house" color) or we can add 4-color process (CMYK) for full color images. |

| Our standard size rolls (35" wide) result in a "web" of paper which is folded, as is shown here in the photo, at the end of the press to produce a 17 1/2" x 22 3/4" Broadsheet page, a 11 3/8" x 17 1/2" Tabloid page, or a 8 3/4" x 11 3/8" Book section. Other size rolls that we inventory will produce different page sizes. Call for details. | ||||

Each press unit prints on both sides of a "web" of paper at once. A "web" which is printed with more than one color of ink passes through multiple units. Each unit requires a separate plate for each side, thus color is sold by the "plate". |

Splicers at the back of the web offset press guarantee a continuous supply of paper. When a roll is consumed, the next roll is "spliced" to the "web". Each paper roll weighs over 1,000 pounds and is purchased in semi load quantities by our company. Buying rolls of paper in bulk assures a significant pricing advantage over buying paper in sheets. |
