We maintain two (2) Agfa Imagesetters for output directly to film. This is a PDF-based workflow which supports Adobe Extreme Technology.  Once we submit a Postscript file created from a customer supplied document it becomes a "Normalized" PDF file within our Agfa Apogee system.  Those "Normalized" PDF files are automatically imposed and trapped thus creating a "Rastor" file.  The "Rastor" file, which is sometimes known as "Digital Film", can be imaged onto file or sent to a proofing device.

We support both Macintosh and PC (Windows) based computers. We preflight customer supplied Adobe InDesign, Quark XPress, or Adobe Pagemaker documents to make sure they are Imagesetter-Ready. We maintain both Macintosh and PC (Windows) computers for such preflighting. We also offer full design services for products such as magazines and direct mail pieces. For mail order catalogs we support automated database-driven design.

Our 6-color HP 5000 plotter prints directly onto paper for proofing purposes.  It is color calibrated to approximate the image produced on our presses.  This ROOM (Rip Once, Output Many) technology assures that the "raster" file does not change after it is output to the plotter.  Customers can see a proof and make any necessary changes before costly film is generated.
