William Young

William Allen Young, 84, of Lewistown died Nov. 22, 2015, at his home.

He was born Jan. 29, 1931, the son of John and Ida Nuss Young in Hastings, Neb. They preceded him in death.

Surviving are his children, Jerry (and Janet) Young of Virden, Rebecca Young of Canton, Mo., and Casey (and Jane) Young of Washington, Ill.; two sisters, Barbara (and Robert) Gustafson of Princeton and MaryDell (and Jonathan) Schwartz of Loveland, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving as an X-ray technician in the medical corps during the Korean Conflict.

He operated the Cottonwood Gas Station in Lewistown with his brother-in-law, Pat McKenzie, for 38 years. He was a member of Wee-Ma-Tuk, Canton and Crane Creek Country Clubs.

Cremation will be accorded. There will be no formal services at this time. The family will plan a Celebration of Life at a later date. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.
