He was born Sept. 3, 1957, in Canton, the son of Jack Daniel and Sara Jeane Grimmer Young.
Surviving are his mother of Astoria; two sisters, Missy Fizzell of Stoughton, Wis., and Kandy (and Kevin) Clark of Astoria; and his fiance, Linda Maldonado of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He was an accountant for Pinnacle Management for 15 years.
He was an Eagle Scout from Astoria Boy Scout Troop #105.
Services were held Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Bob Spencer officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
