Earlene WallaceEarlene Wallace, 61, of Rushville died at 12:40 a.m. Dec. 2, 2015, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Jan. 1, 1954, in Springfield, the daughter of Earl and Patricia Reed Williams. She married Stan Lee Wallace on Jan. 14, 1972, in Chandlerville. He survives.

Also surviving are three children, Erika Coleman of Jacksonville, Matthew (and Amanda) Wallace of Virginia and Nathan Wallace of Rushville; her parents of Chandlerville; two brothers, Mark (and Kelly) Williams and Ted (and Vickie) Williams, both of Chandlerville; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild, M.J. Wallace.

She was a 1972 graduate of Chandlerville High School. She graduated from Passavant Nursing School in Jacksonville. While attending nursing school, she worked as an aide at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville. She began her registered nursing career with McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, where she worked for 18 years. She then worked two years as an RN for Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice. She then worked at Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville until March of 2015, retiring due to health issues.

She was a member of Rushville Free Methodist Church and the Illinois Nurses Association.

Services were held Saturday at her church with Pastor Greg Fish officiating. Burial was in the Rushville City Cemetery. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
