Arlan L. Willison, 83, of Ipava died at 7:16 p.m. March 2, 2009, in Ipava.

He was born April 30, 1925, in St. David, a son of Carl and Lena Belle Branson Willison.

He married Emmalou Tyler. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Wendell (and Pam) Willison of Ipava; two daughters, Tracey (and Don) Hager of Broomfield, Colo., and Tari (and Brett) Ridings of Elgin; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Teresa Willison and Toni Willison; two sons, Willard Willison and Warren Willison; and one brother, Charles Willison.

He was in the United States Navy during World War II.

He farmed in Ipava area his entire life.

He was a member of Ipava United Presbyterian Church and Ipava American Legion Post #17.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Services were held Tuesday at his church with Rev. Danie deBeer officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Ipava American Legion Post #17 or his church.

Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.
