Roland “Ronnie” Gene Ward, 71, of Hardy, Ark., died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Fulton County Hospital.
He was born Jan. 2, 1938, in Astoria, a son of Marshal Ward and Elnora Hamm, both deceased.
He moved to Arkansas in 1985, where he lived out the remainder of his life. He loved the outdoors, and was an artist and wood carver.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce Ann Ward; two sons, Lonny W. Ward and Terry J. Ward; one daughter, Rona D. Ward; and two brothers, Richard Ward and Wendell Ward.
He was preceded in death by one son, John Ozee Ward; and one sister, Sharon K. McCloskey.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at 3 p.m. at the graveside at Baker Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland, Ark.
