John WillbanksJohn WillbanksJohn B. Willbanks, 53, of Browning died at 12:30 p.m. May 9, 2008, at his home.
He was born June 3, 1954, in Corvallis, Ore., the son of Ralph N. and Mary L. Moore Willbanks.
Extended family survivors include: John and Susan Payton of Browning; Jeff, Melissa, A.J. and Ashlynn Payton of Astoria; John Payton Jr. of Canton; Michael and Lynn Smith of East Peoria; and John and Paula Schneider of Creve Coeur.
He was an Air Force veteran, serving from Feb. 25, 1974, to Sept. 13, 1977, and attaining the rank of Sergeant.
He was a cab driver in Alaska. He last worked as an over-the-road truck driver until 2000.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
