She was born Feb. 16, 1910, in Hedrick, Iowa, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Pfeiffer Harfst. She married Henry H. Wemker on March 5, 1939, in Bishop. He died Sept. 27, 1984.
She also was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
Surviving are one daughter, Rose Marie (and John) Burgard of Ipava; and nine grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana, the Ladies Aid Society of her church and the Mason County Farm Bureau.
She graduated from Easton High School and worked at Bonnett’s Turkey Farm and Keith’s Turkey Farm, both in Havana.
Services were held Tuesday at her church with Pastor Martin W. Liebmann Jr. officiating. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana was in charge of arrangements.
