Everett Ward

Everett L. Ward, 69, of Macomb died at 9:35 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, at his home.

He was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Rockport, a son of Everett D. and Lucille Grimsley Ward. He married Marilyn Stone on Nov. 12, 1954, in Colchester. She survives.

Also surviving are his parents of Rushville; three sons, Lee (and Lynne) of Blandinsville, Mike (and Shelly) of Sciota and Roger (and Kari) of North Chili, N.Y.; one daughter, Brenda (and Tim) Drury of Bloomington; two brothers, Bill (and Linda) of Blandinsville and Dave (and Judy) of Rushville; one sister, June Haines of Rushville; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Nancy.

He was a salesman for Pioneer Seed Co. for 30 years and owned and operated Ward Crop Service in Blandinsville for 23 years, retiring in 1999.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Colchester Masonic Lodge #496.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Family graveside services will be held at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Colchester at a later date with Rev. Lee Unger officiating.

Memorials may be made to McDonough District Hospital Hospice or to the Auxiliary Nurses Scholarship of McDonough District Hospital.
