Marie W. Wemker, 92, of Havana, died at 4:37 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at Astoria Healthcare Center.
She was born April 14, 1906, in Mason County, a daughter of William and Catharine Dierker Wemker.
Surviving are one niece, Rose Marie Wemker Burgard of Ipava; and one sister-in-law, Nettie Wemker of Havana.
One sister and one brother preceded her in death.
She worked at Barban Bakery for many years and then The Main Shoppe for 40 years.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of St. Paul’s Altar Guild.
Services were held Friday at her church with Rev. Martin Liebman officiating. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were by Hurley Funeral Home.
