William Workman, Beardstown, Died Monday Morning

William Workman, aged 79, of Beardstown, died in that city Monday morning following an extended illness. He had lived in that city more than thirty years.

Mr. Workman was known by a number of people in Astoria. He was born near Bluff City and was united in marriage to Mrs. Belle Thompson-Merrill, of Astoria, now deceased. There were no children.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Joan Morris of Browning, and Mrs. Jane Stambaugh of Tulsa, Okla., and a half sister, Miss Emma Reno of Browning.

Funeral services were held today at 1:30 o’clock. Interment was made in the Browning cemetery.
