JOHN KENNETH WORKMAN

Infant Dies

John Kenneth Workman, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Workman of Astoria, was born Nov. 17, 1925 and passed away at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dow Workman, Saturday morning at 11:40 o’clock, aged 10 months and 29 days. All that loving hands could do was done to save this little life, but all proved in vain.

A father and a mother
Are grieved and sad today,
The reaper death, came to their home and took their baby away.
Christ has called the precious gift,
He had so kindly given,
The fragile flower that budded here
Has blossomed, but in Heaven.

We know that he is now at rest,
On yon bright golden shore,
This baby is not lost to them
But only gone before.
But Oh, they miss their darling,
And God, we pray to thee,
That thou may let this little one
Their guardian angel be.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dow Workman, conducted by Rev. J. H. Davis. Burial in Astoria cemetery.
