Audrey VincentAudrey Mae Vincent, 94, of Camden, died at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 22, 2008, at her home.

She was born March 19, 1914, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Johnie and Margaret Dodds Kinsey. She married Lyle E. Vincent on Feb. 14, 1939, in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1999.

Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Mary Moore and Alice Young; and one brother, Loren Kinsey.

Surviving are one son, Johnie Lawrence Vincent of Rushville; one sister, June (and Harold) Beard of Roseville; one brother, Bill (and Ruth) Kinsey of Arenzville; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was youth advisor for Schuyler-Brown Extension Service of University of Illinois from Sept. 1, 1957, to Aug. 31, 1982. She authored a weekly column in the Rushville Times, “The 4-H Way with Audrey Mae.” She taught quilting classes at Spoon River College.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rushville, United Methodist Women, Buena Vista Home Extension, Buena Vista Mother’s Club and Women’s Federation.

Services were held Sunday at her church with Rev. Ron Cox officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
