Mabel V. Vincent, 86, of Washington, formerly of Peoria, died at 2:40 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at Washington Christian Village.
She was born Oct. 3, 1912, in Britt, Ioa, a daughter of William C. and Abbie “Grace” Gifford Hare. She married Edgar H. Vincent on May 20, 1945, in Lowpoint. He died March 5, 1981, in Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Norma) Miller of Browning; one son, Charles E. of Milwaukee, Wis.; four sisters, Mrs. Jesse (Leona) Hardman of Heyworth, Mrs. Robert (Rachel) Dixon of Peoria Heights, Ruth Avey of Mount Morris and Mrs. Walter (Katherine) Lott of Washington; five grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren of Peoria.
Services were held Monday at Cumerford-Endsley-Diggle Funeral Home in Peoria with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial was in Parkview Cemetery.
