Eber Trinkle

Eber TrinkleEber C. Trinkle, 77, of Rushville died at 2:39 p.m. Oct. 14, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Schuyler County, a son of Clifford H. and Florence Smedley Trinkle. He married Alice Marie Payne Burnside on June 26, 1975, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Gene (and Sharon) Trinkle of Rushville; three daughters, Cathy Toland and Sue (and Rev. Rob) Kirkham, all of Rushville and Laura (and friend John Fuller) Osmer of Pea Ridge, Ark.; one brother, Don Trinkle of Rushville; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He first worked for Schuyler County Highway Department. He later served 31 years as the township road commissioner of Bainbridge Township in Schuyler County, retiring in 1988.

He attended the former Pleasant View United Methodist Church and Rushville Free Methodist Church.

Services were held Monday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with David Haney and Rev. Rob Kirkham officiating. Burial was in Gillette Cemetery in Bainbridge Township.
