Dallas E. Taylor, 69, of Cuba died at 5 a.m. July 21, 2009, at his home.
He was born Oct. 19, 1939, in Canton, a son of Kenneth and Audrey Dobson Taylor. He married Shirley A. Melvin on Oct. 19, 1963, in Cuba. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Farmington; one son, Robbie (and Angel) Taylor of Canton; two daughters, Sheryl (and Rusty) Walker of Cuba and Tammy Olson of O’Fallon, Mo.; three brothers, Danny Taylor of Clyde, Texas, Marvin Taylor of Creve Coeur and Mike Taylor of Yucaipa, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962.
He was a foundry repairman at Caterpillar in Mapleton for 30 years. He also worked for Cass Township and farmed for Brooks Grain Co. for many years.
Services were held Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Amy Wharton officiating. Burial was in Rigdon Cemetery in Bushnell.
