David Tomlinson

David TomlinsonDavid J. Tomlinson, 56, of Cuba died at 2 p.m. July 10, 2008, in Montrose, Colo.

He was born Dec. 24, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a son of LaMoine and Helen Aupperle Tomlinson. He married Roberta Cooper Tomlinson on Sept. 6, 1986, in Canton. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother; one brother, Myron (and Leah) Tomlinson of Cedar Rapids; and one sister, Nadine (and William) Quinn of Goffstown, N.H.

He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Daniel.

He graduated from Iowa State University in 1974 with a bachelors degree in electrical engineering.

He was an electrical engineer for AmerenCILCO Corp. at Duck Creek since 1977.

He was a member of Paired Iowan’s Going Somewhere Tandem Club and a member of National Corvette Owners Association.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Roger Russell and Rev. Delmar Smith officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded.

Memorials may be made to Canton YMCA, Cedar Rapids Flood Relief or Montrose Colorado Firefighters and EMS.
