Frances Teel

Frances B. Teel, 86, of Macomb died at 8:20 a.m. May 13, 2008, at Heartland Healthcare Center in Macomb.

She was born Nov. 24, 1921, in Astoria, a daughter of Harvey and Cora Rockwell Danner. She married Ebert Teel on March 29, 1941. He died Feb. 27, 1986.

She also was preceded in death by twin sisters in infancy; one brother, Russell Danner; and one grandson, Dustin Teel.

Surviving are two daughters, Ketra (and George) Wanamaker of Macomb and Karla (and Vern) Moore of Altus, Okla.; two sons, Galen (and Marcia) Teel of Adair and Kevin (and Connie) Teel of Pekin; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She lived all of her life in the Table Grove and Macomb areas.

She was a member of Table Grove American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Home Extension in Macomb, Cub Scout den leader for several years and was a former 4-H leader from 1957 to 1970.

She worked as a cook for Adair Grade School and then for Macomb High School, retiring in 1987.

Services will be held Saturday with Rev. Russell Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the McDonough District Hospital Hospice Program.
