Ronald TroneRonald Kent Trone, 71, of Rushville died at 2:40 p.m. Jan. 10, 2008, in Rushville.

He was born Aug. 8, 1936, in Rushville, the son of George “Bill” and Dortha Yarbrough Trone. He married Janet Morris Roudebush on Jan. 10, 1982, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Aaron Trone of Rushville; three daughters, Terri (and William) Whitehead of Salem, Ore., Julie (and Kevin) Allen and Toni Smith, both of Rushville; one stepson, Michael Roudebush of Hull; one stepdaughter, Page Carlen of Hannibal, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Rhonda Trone; and one sister, Sharon Parker.

He was a member of Union Baptist Church.

He farmed, worked for the city of Rushville, served as Rushville City Cemetery Sexton and was the Rushville/Schuyler County Animal Control Officer. He served on Rushville Township Cemetery Board and was a founding member of Rushville Smiles Day/Schuy-Rush Park Small Engine Show Association. He set U.S. Military grave markers for various area cemeteries.
Services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Robert Kirkham officiating. Burial was in Christian Neck Cemetery northeast of Rushville.
