Nelson B. Taylor, 92, of Rushville died at 1:10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2005, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 23, 1912, in Tamaroa, a son of James B. "Jockey Jim" and Rosa Lea Logan Taylor. He married Maxine Zetel Ragland on Nov. 17, 1940, in Perry County. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Marsha (and Joe) Gift of Washington; one son, Larry (and Nancy) of Glasford; one sister, Verna Tuthill of Tamaroa; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, two half brothers and one half sister.
A member of the United Mine Workers of America, he was a welder for Peabody Coal Co. before retiring.
He was of the Christian faith.
Services were held Sunday at Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa. Burial was in Paradise Cemetery in Tamaroa.
