Constance "Connie" I. Tippey, 76, of Reedsport, Ore., died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, of cancer.
She was born April 20, 1927, in Lubbock, Texas, a daughter of Tarlton Joshua Brock and Georgia Elma Coopland Brock. She married Kenneth W. Tippey in Gardiner on March 13, 1946.
She moved to Reedsport in 1945, where she began working at the Square Deal Restaurant as a waitress when she met Tip. Later, after their marriage, she worked at Tommy's Market for several years before working at the Pacific Security Bank (now known as Umpqua Bank) where she retired in 1989.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Gary Tippey of Reedsport; one daughter, Judy Olney of Scappoose; one sister, Dot Dooley of California; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson.
A graveside service was held Feb. 18 at Reedsport Masonic Cemetery.

Connie was a sister-in-law of Eileen Tippey of Astoria, Hazel Tippey of Macomb and Ralph Lee of Canton.
