Barbara C. Slaton, 90, of Rushville died at 3:40 p.m. June 19, 2018, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 27, 1928, in Harrisburg, Pa., the daughter of Seth and Ethel Bailey Cowles. She married John Conrad Slaton on July 29, 1947, near New Market, Tenn. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Phillip (and Donna) Slaton of Galesburg, Stuart (and Helen) Slaton of Meredosia and Douglas (and Barbara) Slaton of Knoxville; one daughter, Pamela Hill of Macomb; one brother, Robert Cowles of Kenneth City, Fla.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, Norman Dean Slaton; and one brother, Seth Cowles.
Memorial services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Inurnment was in Rushville City Cemetery.
