James N. Stanley, 85, of Tavares, Fla., formerly of Lewistown, died Nov. 3, 2009, in Florida.James N. Stanley, 85, of Tavares, Fla., formerly of Lewistown, died Nov. 3, 2009, in Florida.
He was born July 18, 1924, in Ipava, a son of Oscar and Mabel Cluny Stanley. He married Cora Fae Barker in December 1943. She died November of 1973. He later married Joan Hamm Rawley in 1974. She died January of 2008.
He also was preceded in death by one son, Nelson LeRoy Stanley; one brother; and six sisters.
Surviving are one son, Jimmie M. (and Suzann) Stanley of Leesville, La.; one daughter AnnRochele (and Donald) Ferry of Peoria; two stepdaughters and caregivers, Sandy Rawley Page of Gleason, Tenn., and Linda Rawley Moss of Tavares; two sisters, Marilee Lounseberry of Lewistown and Evelyn (and Jim) Wiggins-Dower of Leon, Iowa; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Danie deBeer officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
