Steven ShawverSteven ShawverSteven E. Shawver, 59, of Peoria, formerly of rural Lewistown and Smithfield, died at 6:35 a.m. Dec. 9, 2008, in Peoria.
He was born Dec. 11, 1948, in Canton, the son of Robert E. and Mildred M. Bump Shawver.
Surviving are his father of Lewistown; and one sister, Linda Shawver of Lewistown.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from 1970-1973.
He was a driver for Yellow Checker Cab Corporation in Peoria for 27 years.
He was a member of Lewistown VFW Post 5001.
Services were held Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Darrell Auten officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with military rites conducted by Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and Lewistown American Legion Post 1.
