ANNALEE (DANNER) SIMS

Annalee Danner Sims

Annalee Danner Sims, 95, of Auburn, Neb., formerly of Astoria, died Nov. 24, 2008, at Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home in Auburn.

She was born Nov. 5, 1913, in Astoria, a daughter of L. Roy and Anna Pearl Bishop Danner. She married Eugene S. Sims on Aug. 12, 1938, in Astoria. He died Feb. 5, 1975.

Surviving are one son, Steve Sims of Johnson, Neb.; one daughter, Nancy (and Jim) Spencer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one step-great-grandchild.

She graduated from Astoria High School in 1931 and later graduated from University of Iowa. She taught at Mulberry School, a one room schoolhouse two miles east of Astoria. She also taught in Evanston.

She was a member of Pi Beta Thi Sorority.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Astoria Cemetery with Rev. Beth Nelson officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
