John Stauffer

John Elias Stauffer, 91, of Trotwood, Ohio, died March 21, 2008.

He was born Oct. 24, 1916, in Shephard, Mich., a son of Harvey and Agnes Denlinger Stauffer. He married Bessie Marie Lam Stauffer. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, James Eugene; one daughter, Peggy Lou (and Richard) Wolf of Kettering; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Vivian Stauffer; and one brother, Glenn Eugene Stauffer.

He was a member of Trotwood Church of the Brethren and served in many capacities. He was scout master of Troop #41 for four years; Red Cross Volunteer Driver, 15 years; and Trotwood Handivan Volunteer Driver, several years.

He was a journeyman plumber and member of Local #162 of Plumbers and Fitters Union for over 50 years.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trotwood Church of the Brethren, 208 East Main St., Trotwood, Ohio 45426. Rogers Funeral Home in Trotwood, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements.
