Audrey ShumwayAudrey Pauline Shumway, 77, of Pleasant View died at 12:22 p.m. Dec. 19, 2007, at her residence.

She was born Sunday, July 6, 1930, in Huntsville Township, Schuyler County, a daughter of Ercel O. and Alberta M. Farrar Armstrong. She married Ernest E. Shumway on Sept. 6, 1952, in San Angelo, Texas. He died July 5, 1987.

She also was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Cummings.

Surviving are two sons, David Shumway of San Diego, Calif., and Brian (and Kathi) Shumway of Lewisville, Texas; three brothers, James E. Armstrong of Edgerton, Mo., Frank Armstrong of Kansas City, Mo., and Melton Armstrong of Kirksville, Mo.; five sisters, Eunice Evans of Kansas City, Romelle Hoffman of Napoleon, Mo., Juanita Thomas of Lee Summitt, Mo., Marie Buckallew of Polo, Mo., and Martha Ward of Columbia, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.

She was a bank teller in White River Junction, Vt., for 17 years retiring in 1981.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mike Cahill officiating. Burial will be in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to time of services Thursday.
