Audrey F. Swearingen, 89, of Lewistown died at 11:10 a.m. March 21, 2007, at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.Audrey F. Swearingen, 89, of Lewistown died at 11:10 a.m. March 21, 2007, at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.
She was born Sept. 12, 1917, in Fiatt, a daughter of Lewis and Lena Ault Martin. She married Nelson Swearingen on Dec. 25, 1939, in Cuba. He died Dec. 20, 1982.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and one great-grandchild.
Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Pierson of Lewistown; one sister, Carrie Davis of Canton; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She cleaned several businesses in the Lewistown area, including Cottonwood Motel, Kost Law Office, and the Presbyterian and Methodist churches, as well as several homes. She worked at the former Bavery’s Restaurant and had several lawn care customers.
Services were held at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Harry Miller and Dr. Don Miller officiating. Burial was in Connor Cemetery in rural Lewistown.
