Leon StutesLeon Stutes, 84, of Lewistown died at 12:29 a.m. March 25, 2007, in Prairieview Care Center in Lewistown.

He was born May 12, 1922, in Lewistown, a son of Andrew and Madelon Puckett Stutes Hunter.

Surviving are seven brothers, Gilbert (and Nina), Terry (and Karen) and James (and Louise) Hunter, all of Lewistown, Robert of Golden, Colo., Andrew Jr. of Mesa, Ariz., Maurice (and Alma) of Peoria and Larry of Florida; and two sisters, Carol (and Ted) Myetich of Lewistown and Letha Johnson of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Damon.

He was a handyman.

He was a member of Lewistown United Methodist Church.

Cremation will be accorded. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Rev. Bill Bunnage officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. There will be no visitation. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.
