Lenore Hammond Smith, 87, of Table Grove died at 12:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 20, 1915, in Table Grove, a daughter of Clarence Armand and Sarah Nellora Ross Hammond. She married Dale Owen Smith on July 6, 1931, in Table Grove. He died April 27, 1981.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Surviving are one son, Larry of Table Grove; two daughters, Donna (and Haley) Griffith of Springfield and Nancy (and Melvin) Voss of Champaign; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and one brother, Carroll Hammond of Galesburg.
She was a member of the Home Extension Association.
She was a member of Table Grove Community Church, where services were held Monday with Rev. Edward Barrett officiating. Burial was in Harris Cemetery in rural Table Grove. Kost Memorial Home in Vermont was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to her church or McDonough District Hospital Hospice Program.
