Carl Spencer

Carl H. Spencer, 70, of Marietta, died at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1997, at Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.

He was born April 19, 1926, in Cuba, a son of Lamon and Merlie Smith Spencer.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Jack (Helen) Bradford of Adair; one nephew, Gary Bradford of Sparland; one niece, Mrs. Norman (Donna) Gibboney of Astoria; five great-nephews; and five great-nieces.

One brother preceded him in death.

He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a farmer and retired from International Harvester Co. He was a member of Point Pleasant Church.

Services were held Monday at Sargent-Worthington Funeral Home in Macomb with Rev. Michael Fitch officiating. Burial was in Point Pleasant Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to his church or to the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.
