Marjorie RedeniusMarjorie Jean Redenius, 88, of Rushville died at 2:01 a.m. Feb. 27, 2018, at the Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rushville.

She was born Nov. 17, 1929, in Williamstown, Mo., a daughter of Evard David Lillard and Esther Ida Louise Wolfmeyer. She married Irvin Redenius on March 14, 1954, in Danville. He preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1997.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Donald Lillard.

Surviving are five daughters, Sandra (and Dean) Ward of Frederick, Debbie (and Phil) Cox of Springfield and Terri (and Jeff) Zeeck, Amy (and Richard) Vozza and Jennifer (and Scott) Busby, all of Rushville; one brother, David (and Janet) Lillard of Sedalia, Mo.; two sisters, Emma Lou Bevans of Kahoka, Mo., and Esther Ann (and Earl Wayne) Fishback of Mechanicsburg; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rushville.

She taught first through eighth grades in a one-room schoolhouse. She also worked as a telephone operator and later in life she ran her own business as a day-care provider.

Funeral services were held Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial was in Golden Memorial Gardens in Golden.
