He was born Aug. 28, 1917, in Lewistown, the son of Alva and Clara Horton Rasmussen. He married Dorothy S. “Dot” Jones on June 18, 1939, in Kansas City, Mo. She preceded him in death on May 21, 2005.
Surviving are one daughter, Hester Jo Potter Keen of Canton; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two-great-great grandchildren.
He graduated from Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., in 1939.
He was a timekeeper and a bookkeeper at Buckhart Mine for many years. He then worked at Pratt Furniture and Lewistown National Bank.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lewistown. He was proud of his heritage at Rasmussen Blacksmith Shop in Lewistown.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Rev. Danie deBeer and Rev. Penny Frame officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown.
