Edwin Reneau

Edwin Reneau, 52, of Canton died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born June 12, 1952, in Canton, a son of Charles Ivan and Helen E. Ward Reneau.

Surviving are his mother, Helen Ervin of Canton; one son, Gerald Ivan of Astoria; two daughters, Cherry (and Daniel) Thomas of Little York and Candy Sipp of Lockport; nine grandchildren; one brother, Don (and Lisa) of Canton; five stepbrothers, John Watters and Lewis Watters, both of Windsor, Dean (and Nadine) Watters, of Oquawka, Duane (and Bonnie) Watters of the Moline area and Steve (and Louis) Watters of Carbon Cliff; and two stepsisters, Norma (and Ronald) West of London Mills and Terri (and Mike) Blessman of Canton.

He was preceded in death by his father; two stepfathers, Jim Ervin and John Watters; one stepbrother and one stepsister.

He had been a welder at Butler Manufacturing in Galesburg.

He was a former member of Fairview United Methodist Church.

Services were Monday at Oak-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, with Rev. John Anderson officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Fairview.
