Glenn H. Russell, 86, of Adair, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
He was born May 12, 1913, in McDonough County, a son of George and Mary Renner Russell. He married Eileen Young on Aug. 18, 1934, in Industry. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Richard (and Jane) of Adair; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
One son, Rodney, one great-grandson, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.
A member of the National Trotters Association, he farmed in the Adair area all his life.
He was a 50-year member of Industry Masonic Lodge 327 and the Quincy Consistory. He also was a member of Mohammed Temple, Shrine, in Peoria.
He was a former board member of McDonough County Soil and Water Conservation District, Federal Land Bank, McDonough County FHA and the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Board.
Services were held today at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Marshall Litchfield officiating. Burial was in Vance Cemetery near Industry.
