Mary Lou PhillipsMary Lou Phillips, 87, of Rushville died at 9:10 a.m. Aug. 16, 2016, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Woodstock Township, Schuyler County, a daughter of Wesley and Myrtle Rittenhouse Paisley. She married Richard Dale Phillips on June 20, 1953, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 2003.

She also was preceded in death by four sisters, Doris Logan, Evelyn Akers, Minnie Stephens and Vera Crockett; and three brothers, Kenneth Paisley, Jack Paisley and Lyle Paisley.

Surviving are one son, Steven D. (and Diana) Phillips of Arlington, Va.; one daughter, Gina K. (and Mark) Priewe of Lanark; one sister, Norma Rowland of Rushville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Rushville High School with the class of 1946. She and her husband were life-long farmers. She also was a bookkeeper for two years and a legal secretary for seven years.

She was associated with Rushville First Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
