Virginia A. Peterson, 92, of Lewistown died at 4:13 p.m. Oct. 3, 2011, at Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave, Ky. She was born March 3, 1919, in Lewistown, a daughter of Elmer and Goldie Eveland Ogden. She married Clifford O. Peterson on Dec. 27, 1957, in Lewistown. He died Sept. 9, 2007.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Eldon Ogden; one half brother, Earl Ogden; and one half sister, Ethel Ogden Fitch.
Surviving are one son, Kevin (and Orathai) Peterson of Mong Mong, Guam; one daughter, Deborah (and Mike) Davis of Munfordville, Ky.; two brothers, Clyde Ogden of Lewistown and Marion Ogden of Morton; four step grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren.
She was a retired school teacher, teaching in North Dakota and Illinois.
She was a former song evangelist in the Nazarene church.
She was a member of Lewistown Church of the Nazarene and Illinois Retired Teachers Association.
Services were held Saturday at Waterford Union Church with Pastor Randy Munson officiating. Burial was in Waterford Cemetery in rural Lewistown. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
