ROBERTA P. (ESKRIDGE) POSTIN

Roberta PostinRoberta P. Postin, 84, of Lewistown died at 2:10 p.m. Oct. 4, 2009, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born March 13, 1925, in rural Lewistown, a daughter of Sam and Pauline Roberts Eskridge. She married Keith V. Postin on Oct. 2, 1949, in Bryant. He died Nov. 4, 2008.

Surviving are six sons, Ron (and Naylene) Postin, Ray (and Glenda) Postin, Randy (and Cathy) Postin, Roger (and Kathy) Postin and Ralph (and LeAnn) Postin, all of Lewistown, Rob (and Kelly) Postin of Stephens, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband. She was a former teacher at the one room Salem School at rural Lewistown.

She was a lifelong member of Bryant Christian Church where she played the piano and taught Sunday school and VBS and was assistant church treasurer.

She was a member of Lewistown American Legion Post 1 women’s auxiliary and FFA Alumni.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at her church with Rev. Brian Ebert officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery at rural Lewistown. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown.
