WILLIAM L. “BILL” PRATHER

William PratherWilliam L. “Bill” Prather, 84, of Rushville died at 2 p.m. Sept. 24, 2009, at Culbertson Long Term Care.

He was born March 23, 1925, in Oakland Township, Schuyler County, a son of Clarence and Estella Curtis Prather. He married Retha Wells on June 26, 1954, in Mount Sterling. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Marsha (and Gary) Morrell of Camden; two sons, Terry (and Kathy) Prather and Scott (and Angie) Prather, both of Rushville; two brothers, Curt Prather and Vern Prather; one sister, Pauline Skiles; and four grandchildren.

He was an Army Veteran of World War II.

He was a lifelong Schuyler County farmer. He also owned and operated Prather Trucking for many years.

Services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
