CONNIE ELIZABETH (DOUBET) PITTMAN

Connie Pittman

Connie Elizabeth Pittman, formerly of Trivoli, died at 10 p.m. Aug. 30, 2007, at Banner El Dorado Hospice Care Center in Gilbert, Ariz.

She was born July 23, 1953, a daughter of Merle and Donna Jene Doubet. She married Charles A. Pittman on Dec. 4, 1981, in San Carlos, Ariz. He survives.

Also surviving are her parents of Morristown, Ariz.; one son, Travis (and Jennifer) Pittman of Wahiawa, Hawaii; one daughter, Amy (and Jim) Treffers of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, John Doubet of Jay, Okla., and George (and Rita) Doubet of Astoria; one sister, Dennise (and Kevin) Owsley of Astoria; and one grandchild.

She graduated from Farmington High School in 1970. She was a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated with a registered nurse degree from Illinois Central College in East Peoria.

She worked in the oncology department of Methodist Hospital in Peoria before moving to the San Carlos Medical Center, where she became a flight nurse. She moved to Mesa, Ariz., to work for Doctors (Humana) Hospital as a trauma nurse. In Phoenix, Ariz., she worked briefly at Scottsdale Osborne Hospital and Thomas Davis Urgent Care Center.

She was active in a support group with the MS Society, making a documentary on MS.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private services were held in the chapel of Banner Medical Center.
