Evelyn Louise Petrie, 82, of Media, Pa., formerly of Schuyler County, died at 9:50 p.m. Aug. 4, 2007, at the Granite Farms Nursing Home in Media.
She was born May 22, 1925, in Littleton, the daughter of Frank and Hilma Feld Painter. She married James William Petrie on April 10, 1947, in Rochester, Minn. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Bruce William of New Castle, Pa.; one daughter, Dorothy Lynn (and Jeffrey) Celebre of Wallingford, Pa.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She worked at Continental Bank; Douglas Aircraft; American Steel and Wire and as a secretary at Washington Elementary School, Livonia, Mich.; saleswoman at Flemings Department Store, Glen Ellen, Ill.; and home health aide at Neshaminy Manor, Doylestown, Penn.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rushville City Cemetery with Rev. Mike Cahill officiating. There will be no visitation. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
