Richard Gerald Parry, 86, of Macomb died at 1:04 a.m. April 22, 2007, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born Dec. 17, 1920, in Astoria, a son of Albert and Grace Schuman Parry. He married Dorothy Jane Klinedinst on Aug. 22, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Jerry (and Cheryl) of Macomb; one sister, Emily (and Donald) Shaw of Cuba; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Robert.

He had lived in Ipava for several years before moving to Macomb in 1962. He worked as a farmer for many years, and later worked at McGraw-Edison and Eggers Construction.

He was a member of Macomb Elks Lodge for 44 years and a member of Macomb Eagles Club for 14 years, NRA, Macomb Rocking Chair Club, DAV, Ducks Unlimited, Smithfield Sportsmans Club, McDonough County Senior Citizens and the Amateur Trap Shooting Association.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Rev. Wally Holt and Rev. Ronald Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery. The family will meet with friends one hour before services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Elks Crippled Childrens Fund, First Baptist Church in Macomb or to Countryview Care Center in Macomb.
