Roy B. Parr, 78, Dies In Macomb

Roy B. Parr, 78, a lifetime resident of the Astoria area, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in McDonough District Hospital in Macomb. He had been in failing health for several years.

He was born Oct. 29, 1893, in Astoria, the son of Charles and Inez Brown Parr.

Mr. Parr was a member of the Fulton County Board of Review for 16 years.

He is survived by one son, Charles R. Parr of Aurora; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Nasmyth of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Harriet Workinger of London, England; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Shawgo Memorial Home with Rev. Dale Eddington officiating. Entombment was in the Astoria Memorial Mausoleum.
