Gladys B. Negley, 101, of Smithfield died at 2:40 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009, at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.
She was born Oct. 15, 1908, in London Mills, a daughter of Earl and Mina Johnson Martin. She married Glen Negley on March 7, 1929, in Fairview. He died March 11, 1993.
She also was preceded in death by one sister, Ilene White.
Surviving are one daughter, Louise (and Robert) Abbott of Smithfield; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She and her husband farmed for many years.
She was a member of Brock United Methodist Church in Smithfield, a member for over 50 years of the Order of Eastern Star in Fairview and Smithfield HEA.
Services were held Monday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Ardith Corsaw officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
