Mary C. Nimmo, 89, of Cuba died at 8:05 p.m. Dec. 25, 2008, at Wesley Village in Macomb.
She was born Nov. 5, 1919, in Cuba, a daughter of Jesse and Alice Matthews Long. She married William E. Nimmo on June 20, 1948, in Cuba. He died Oct. 13, 2005.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are two daughters, Catherine (and Larry) Kerr of Macomb and Jane (and Eldon) Myers of Dubuque, Iowa; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She and her husband owned and operated the former Cuba Motor Company for 35 years before retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Cuba United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women’s Club and PEO in Cuba.
Services were held Tuesday at her church with Rev. Ardith Corsaw officiating. Burial was in Cuba Cemetery. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba was in charge of arrangements.
