She was born Nov. 13, 1923, in rural Lewistown, a daughter of George W. and Amelia White Brown. She married Chancey I. Malott on Aug. 21, 1938, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1974.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Surviving are one son, Verl (and Glenna) Malott of Ipava; one daughter, Lois (and Richard) Henderson of East Peoria; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a homemaker who helped her husband with the farm.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Reverend Ken Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Summum Cemetery.
