Gertrude Mayberry

Gertrude MayberryGertrude J. Mayberry, 77, of Bryant, died at 8:45 p.m. Dec. 18, 2008, at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.

She was born Jan. 10, 1931, in Cuba, a daughter of Willard C. and Agnes L. BoBo McCann. She married Harold Max Mayberry on June 1, 1949, in Bryant. He survives.

Also surviving are five daughters, Cathy (and Roger) Cain of Henry, Debra (and Eddy) Romero of Lewistown, Patty Dickerson of Peoria, Jeanne (and Terry) Coonradt of Canton and Sandra of Pekin; one son, Max Jr. (and Linda) Mayberry of Bryant; one half-brother, Virgil (and Norma) McCann of Lincoln; 29 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver Mary Kuntz.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Creamer; one sister; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; four half-brothers; and two half-sisters.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Bryant Christian Church.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at Maryville Cemetery in Bryant with Rev. Jerry Sawyer officiating. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
